The Winter Moot is a weekend event in a large indoor venue during February. It includes a variety of workshops on animal liberation, animal rights and environmental issues.
If you would like to get involved in planning or giving a workshop please contact firstname.lastname@example.org.
For up-to-date information on dates and location of the moot visit earthfirstgathering.org.
How The Moot Works:
- THE BASICS. It will be an indoor sleeping space so bring sleeping bags and mats. If you have any questions or requirements please email email@example.com. Arrive Friday from 6pm for an evening meal and leave Sunday at 4pm. Cost per person is from £25 to £30 which includes accommodation and full vegan meals but no one will be turned away for lack of funds.
- EVERYONE IS CREW. This is a DIY event, there’s no paid staff, no organising hierarchy, no big budget, everyone’s a volunteer. Please join the spirit and take the initiative to help, or offer to help with whatever you see that needs doing.
- OPPRESSIVE BEHAVIOUR. We have a philosophy of achieving Total Liberation for all human and non-human animals through Direct Action. A Safer Spaces Agreement is operated by a mediation team to manage oppressive behaviours. Racism, ageism, homophobia, sexism, transphobia, ableism or prejudice based on ethnicity, nationality, class, gender, gender presentation, language ability, sexuality, asylum status or religious affiliation is unacceptable. A safer spaces policy will be posted here closer to the event.
